Can anybody write the steps to refilling the Lexmark C500 toner cartridges?

First by a fume hood and ventilator, small screw drivers.

a scalpel, grounding cuff, *toner vacuum (a household machine will not be able to pick up the fine toner particulate)

Do this under a fume hood while wearing a ventilator - toner dust is toxic. The colour toner especially!

Now that you have the proper equipment to do this you will need the following supplies.

Toner

replacement smart chip.

replacement electrostatic roller.

Replacement gearing

l

first you will want to dismantle the casing replacing all nylon gears (the metal ones will be okay) then the electrostatic roller.

Be careful not to get any residual toner into into the gearing.

Reassemble the casing.

Remove the old smart chip and replace with the new chip.

Make a small hole in the end of the toner reservoir (you will know where this is from you disassembly). Some of the rebate toners will have a plastic plug, if this is the case remove the plug.

Slowly, preferably using a funnel pour toner into the hole.

Seal the hole.

Preferably using a then plastic patch treated with epoxy.

Install.

Clean your fume hood and surrounding work area thoroughly with a toner vacuum. Can anybody write the steps to refilling the Lexmark C500 toner cartridges?
Refilling instead of putting in new ones? Don't be cheap. Use new cartridges. You can refill old ones several times and be fine, but some day they'll leak and it will be a huge mess.

If you still want to refill, the instructions on how to do it are printed on the refill kits. Read them.
